Who we are
The Fire Protection Association of Nigeria (FPAN) was formed in 1978 by the insurance industry under the umbrella of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA). FPAN was further incorporated in 1988 and recognized by the Federal and State Governments in Nigeria as a National and Independent Fire Safety Information and Advisory Organization. The Association makes representations to the government and other stakeholders on matters pertaining to fire safety in Nigeria.

The Primary objective of Fire Protection Association of Nigeria (FPAN) is to identify and draw attention to Fire dangers and to provide information and advice on all aspects of Fire Safety and other related hazards. In our efforts to achieve our set goal, the Association carries out Information and Advice through Publications, training, Technical enquiry Services, seminars and conferences.
